Guildwood Butterflyway Pollinator Gardens Planting Event

The Guildwood Butterflyway Project (a project sponsored by the David Suzuki Foundation) encourages all community members to plant gardens that attract and shelter bees, butterflies and other pollinators with the goal of creating and enhancing healthy and sustainable habitat for all of us.

On Sunday June 24th we will be embarking on a community planting event, creating pollinator gardens at selected public locations in Guildwood.

We are also holding a sale of milkweed and native plants – from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church – to encourage homeowners in our community to enhance and create a healthy habitat for pollinators. Our Butterflyway Rangers will be on hand to share their knowledge of native plant gardening with their neighbours.
